One-to-one therapy in East Oxford and online
If you’re thinking of reaching out to a therapist, it’s likely something in your life doesn’t feel right – and you’re not sure how to fix it. If you are struggling with persistent patterns you are struggling to break, therapy can help you make sense of what feels stuck or unresolved, and move towards a fuller, more connected life. Whatever is bringing you here, I aim to offer a confidential space where you feel safe, understood, and not alone in working through it. My goal is that clients develop a more secure, empathetic relationship with themselves – after all, it’s the longest and most crucial relationship we all have!

How I work
I am a psychodynamically trained therapist. Psychodynamic therapy is a form of talking therapy which pays close attention not only to your present, but also to how your past experiences and unconscious patterns may be influencing it, shaping present stuckness or distress. Much of my work focuses on attachment: how we learned to connect, protect ourselves, and get our needs met in early relationships, and how those patterns continue to play out today. Through our therapeutic relationship, we can begin to understand these dynamics – not to pathologize them, but to bring them into awareness and make space for change.
This form of therapy is especially effective for a number of issues, including:
Unresolved trauma
Anxiety and depression
Negative patterns
Self-worth and self-esteem
Life transitions
Self-understanding and insight
Stress and burnout
Addiction and compulsions
Developing healthier relationships
Sense of self and purpose
